Inspection Overview

Depending on the size and condition of the home a thorough home inspection can take 2.5 to 3.5 hours.  You are encouraged to accompany your inspector during the inspection so that you will have a visual reinforcement of your written report.

We take our inspection reports seriously. Every inspection is a complete and thorough analysis of all the major systems and components in the home. The report, delivered by email includes a clear description of what we’ve found with any problem areas noted, so you can easily identify them. Our inspectors will  also provide a telephone consultation after your inspection if there are any questions.

Paul Cornell and Associates is one of the few local home inspection companies performing comprehensive commercial building inspections.  Most home inspectors are not trained in the commercial inspection field, and therefore lack the background and knowledge to be proficient in assessing the physical condition of large systems in a commercial/industrial building.

For example, your inspector would have to be proficient in all the different types of commercial roofing systems, steel and concrete structures, large horsepower boilers, commercial plumbing systems, air conditioning chillers, fan coils, and cooling towers, etc. The inspectors at Paul Cornell and Associates have the expertise in evaluating and reporting on these systems. The field survey will be conducted by one or more inspectors depending on the size of the building.

Paul Cornell and Associates also does property condition assessments and reports. Specializing in high end residential construction we have worked for and been hired by some of the area’s most exclusive contracting companies  and builders who provided concierge level property management and project management services to their discerning clients. Our reports can identify the need for preventative maintenance as well as assist the contractor with capital improvements and property renovation projects. We have also provided PCA’S and PCR’S for many condominium associations and managed properties to assist them in maintenance and budgeting for expenses.
